Every plant and process is unique. If you want to find out more about getting the most out of your own UF systems and X-Flow membranes, our dedicated Installed Base Team will gladly answer all your questions. To gain real insight into your system, a Performance Scan is the perfect solution. The Performance Scan is always aimed to achieve lower operational costs and better system performance.

As a frequent check, it is the best tool to ensure the continuity and optimal performance of your UF system. Many operators seize the opportunity to renew their KPI’s, starting with a new benchmark for production goals.

X-Flow uniquely combines high-quality membrane products with outstanding implementation know-how. Our specialized engineers contribute to your flawless operation of your filtration installations. Their experience makes the difference in terms of quality, safety, efficiency and reliability. Together we maximize your results. Even if the MemScan has shown that your membranes are still up to the job, it makes sense to find out how your UF system can be improved in the most efficient way. For example, assuming your UF system is operating at the same settings ever since it was first installed. Your SCADA system detects no trouble or any reason to intervene.

In reality however, Trans membrane pressure has risen slightly over time and chemical enhanced backwash has long been in need for readjustment. This means the system has been using more chemicals than required and more and more power during filtration and cleaning steps, without anyone being aware of it.

UF system optimization
Pentair is dedicated to the optimal functioning of your X-Flow filtration system. Our R&D department and project engineers work closely together to ensure you can continue to meet your production goals in the most cost-efficient manner.

The Performance Scan presents you with:

  • An overview of optimization opportunities
  • A detailed explanation of all optimization actions and their effects
  • A new system projection to provide insight into plant operation after optimization

Before one of our engineers visits the site, all information relevant to the Performance Scan targets is gathered in a collective effort. The data may include specific operational issues, but generally serve to create a comprehensive picture of your system’s current performance. A MemScan often provides essential additional information about the actual condition and fouling levels of your membranes.

The site visit starts with an operator interview, in which the system and operations are discussed in detail. A general inspection reviews the separate functional elements in your system, including the feed and filtration units. Any gaps in the data collection are filled in during this step, which gathers the site-specific facts on feed water and permeate quality, TMP’s and chemicals usage.
